In how many ways can you tell a lie?

To force a smile or diguise the high?

There's no hope for a lost cause these days,

emotionally hazed.

It's cruel, but we do.

How many times have you denied the truth?

Pushing aside the pain to sustain it's youth.

Forgiveness isn't tolerated in a world that's caused so much pain;

And masked by sadness,

there's no hope to regain.

It's unfortunate, but true.

How many tears must you wipe away,

before you come to terms with this disarray?

Believed in the promises that failed to meet the needs,

Disgusted by our nature,

we disguise our dirty deeds.

It's unbelievable, but we do.

Forever's such a cruel punishment in a world like today.

Hiding the fear, watching what you say.

Something non-existent can't create another 'new'.

And confronted by hurdles -

we will fail to pull through.

It's just a seven letter word.

Not a lifestyle.

Not a reality.
